  1. Power off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Open Door A (20 K).
  3. Remove the new Transfer Roller assembly and the Hex Driver tool (2.5mm) (5 K) from its shipping box.
  4. Using the Hex Driver unscrew the four hex screws in a counter clockwise (CCW) direction from the old Transfer roller (22K). There are two screws at each end of the roller and they are not removable.
  5. Remove the Transfer Roller assembly by tipping the back up and then lifting it up and out of the printer.
  6. Dispose the Transfer Roller assembly as normal office waste. The transfer roller is not recyclable.
  7. Remove the new Transfer Roller assembly from its protective plastic bag.

  8. Note: Be careful to not touch the Transfer Roller assemblies black roller. Touching the roller can lower the life of the assembly and print quality degradation may result.

  9. Install the new transfer roller assembly into the printer. Make sure the front of the transfer roller is under the two metal clips (35 K). (Close up view of the metal clips) (21 K)
  10. Adjust the Transfer Roller so that the bracket alignment holes are aligned with their corresponding nubs (22 K). Tighten the four screws on the transfer roller assembly to secure it to the printer.
  11. Close Door A.
  12. Reattach the power cord to the printer.
  13. Power on the printer.
  14. Reset the life counts by following the printer prompts on the Front Panel. If the Transfer Roller was replaced due to being defective or prior to a replace or replace soon message the transfer roller life counts need to reset manually.
